Rescue Training Group was established in 2002 by Greg Toman, Murray
Tucker and Brett Jones in order to deliver the world recognised,
Rescue 3 International Swiftwater and Rope Rescue Training Courses.
All 3 Instructors had been teaching these programmes for many years
through Rescue 3 Australia. Greg, Murray and Brett decided to join
forces, become a Registered Training Organisation and bid for the
agency rights
for Rescue 3 Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia. This allowed
RTG to fulfil the growing demand for Nationally Recognised Training
(NRT) and expand the business.
As a Registered Training Organisation, RTG aligned the Rescue 3
courses with competencies from the Outdoor Recreation Package from
the Australian National Training Authority. This new format meant
that the revised courses now fulfilled the requirements for selected
units of competency. Students who complete RTG courses receive a
portable Statement of Attainment.
RTG has a group of dedicated, experienced Instructors who have
extensive experience teaching in the field. Our Instructors have
years of real life experience to back up their excellent training
skills. They are all active in their chosen field of endeavour with
current skills and experience in the workplace. RTGs aim is
to deliver realistic, practical training of the highest calibre.
In addition, RTG provides a consultancy service for businesses
and companies that need to comply with Workplace Health and Safety
requirements and Australian Standards for working at heights, rope
access and working in and around moving water.
