Who is the course for?
The SRFR course is designed for anyone working in and around moving
water, including those who may be required to assist in a moving
water rescue.
Training and Assessment
The SRFR course is delivered over 2 days. Training and assessment
will comprise of both theoretical and practical components. Training
will be conducted over 1 day, plus an additional day for the final
assessment .
Are there any course pre-requisites?
The SRFR Course is an intensive 2 day program which is both physically
and mentally demanding. As a result, students will require an appropriate
level of fitness and commitment to effectively participate in the
program.
Swiftwater Rescue First Responder Course students
must be 18 years of age.
What certification is issued?
Upon successful completion of the SRO course and assessment, along
with Unit of Competency requirements, Rescue Training Group P/L
(RTO) will issue students with a Nationally recognised Statement
of Attainment.
What are the course fees?
Swiftwater Rescue First Responder (SRFR) Course fees are $140.
This includes training, supply and use of technical equipment, SRFR
Course Manual and professional instruction.
Swiftwater Rescue First Responder Assessment (SRFR-A) fees are
$135, including Statement of Attainment.
